Frequently Asked Questions
Below you'll find short answers to the most common questions. For a fuller guide, see the Help page.
What can someone see when I share a list?
The person you share with sees every debt, receivable, payment and note in that list. A viewer can only look; an editor can also add and edit records and payments (giving the editor role is a Pro feature). Lists you have not shared are not affected. You can remove a member or change their role at any time.
What is the difference between the remaining and the original amount?
The original amount is the amount you created the record with, and it never changes. Each payment or collection is added as its own entry. The remaining amount is the original amount minus those payments; when it reaches zero the record is settled.
What does the free plan include?
Sudeb is free: people, debts, lists, recurring records and rate cards have no limit. Payments, 3 reminder stages, offline mode that keeps working without internet, search and CSV export are free too. The paid plans sell working with others and attachments, not everyday use.
What do Sudeb Pro and Pro+ offer?
Sudeb Pro is for working together and paperwork: adding members to a list, the editor role, a fourth reminder stage, PDF statements, batch invoicing and advanced rate-card units.
Sudeb Pro+ includes everything in Pro and lets you add photos and voice notes to your records, with 10 GB of storage per account.
Both are bought in the mobile app (App Store / Google Play); they are not sold on the web. When a plan ends, what you entered stays readable and editable; only new members and new attachments cannot be added.
Can I undo deleting my account?
There are two ways:
- Deletion request: the account is deleted permanently after 7 days. Until then you can sign in and cancel the request; the deletion date is sent to you by e-mail.
- Delete now: with your password and the confirmation text on screen the account is deleted immediately. This cannot be undone.
Either way, the deletion is logged and you receive an e-mail.
When does a recurring record create an actual record?
Sudeb checks every hour for recurring records that are due and creates the debt or receivable. If you don't want to wait, use Generate now on the recurring record's detail screen. A paused recurring record creates nothing until it is resumed.
Is my data safe?
Your password is hashed with Argon2id and never stored in plain text. All connections are encrypted with HTTPS. Actions such as deleting an account, locking a list or deleting permanently are written to a separate audit log. The database is backed up every day and its change log is archived continuously; backups are kept for 30 days in storage separate from the server. In the app, only you and the people you share a list with can see your data.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Use Download CSV on any list's detail screen to download every record in it; the file opens directly in Excel and Numbers. With Pro you can also get a PDF statement of everything between you and a person.
Which currencies are supported?
TRY, USD, EUR, GBP and other common currencies are supported. Every record keeps its own currency; the net position is shown per currency and as an estimate converted into the base currency you choose in Profile. Rates are updated on working days from European Central Bank data (Frankfurter).
Why am I not getting reminders?
Check that the record has a due date, that due reminders are on in the reminder settings in Profile, and that Sudeb has notification permission in your phone's settings. Reminders arrive at the time you chose, in the time zone set in Profile.
Can I use Sudeb on more than one device?
Yes. Sign in with the same account on iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. A change on one device appears on the others within seconds, and changes in shared lists reach every member the same way.
How can I contact you?
For questions, feedback or bug reports, write to [email protected] or use Feedback in the app. We usually reply within 1–2 working days.
